Bourbon County Sheriff's Office Launches Redesigned, Enhanced Website!

The Bourbon County Sheriff's Office launched a new, redesigned, enhanced website on February 18, 2026, where residents can find the latest information regarding the operations of the Sheriff's Office, as well as inmate bookings, released inmates, and more.

The upgraded website, www.bourboncountysheriffks.org, continues to serve as an information resource for the public, and assists the community with community policing efforts. The responsive design allows site visitors to access the information they want and need from any device (desktop, laptop, tablet, and smartphone) with simple, flexible navigation.

Some of the features and functions on the newly upgraded website include:

• Alerts: allows the public to sign up to receive alert notifications from the Sheriff's Office via email, text, and/or app - including General, Inmate Roster, Most Wanted, Press Releases, Sheriff's Messages, and Special Alert updates. 
• Contact Form: an online form available to contact the Sheriff's Office via email.
• Crime Tips Form: an online form allowing users to attach photos, video, audio, or other files while submitting non-emergency crime tips.
• Departments: information available regarding the departments of the Sheriff's Office organized on different pages.
• Inmate Roster: allows the public to view photos and information, including charges with bond details, for individuals booked into the jail and/or released within the last 48 hours.
• Message from the Sheriff: recent messages from the Sheriff with the ability to view all previous messages shared.
• Most Wanted: allows the public to view descriptions and photos of wanted individuals.
• Press Releases: allows the public to view a list in date order of press releases and news items posted by the Sheriff's Office.
• Registered Offenders Link: allows users to easily navigate to a third-party website for viewing the Iowa Sex Offender Registry. 
• Resources: information available regarding different resources offered by the Sheriff's Office organized on different pages.
• Social Media Links: allows users to follow or view the Bourbon County Sheriff's Office on Facebook and X.

A new upgraded App will be available in the Google Play Store and Apple Store soon! Once the App is available in both stores, app push notifications will resume. Please check back to the Download Our App page in the near future.

Website administrators are able to publish important information including updated information, upcoming events, recent news, and more!
